I hate to see Narcissa like this, but we have no choice in the matter. Draco is dead to us because he betrayed the Dark Lord and has put shame on the name of Malfoy. I'd rather be forced to disown him than to risk the life of my love if I were to refuse. It certainly wasn't something I enjoyed, I cared for Draco greatly and even though he never managed to measure up to my expectations he was my son and as my son he meant a lot. His recent birthday wasn't easy for Narcissa to deal with without being there for him. She's been moping around the castle and spending a lot of time in his old bedroom and though I wish it, I know there is nothing I can do to help her bare her grief. He was her pride and joy and she was a wonderful mother to him. He had everything he could have ever needed from the both of us and we have to face it that he is a traitor to everything we've ever worked for in our lives and have strived to give him.

They will never be able to recover fast enough and it will only be a matter of time before we will finally have the country under our heels and our Lord will be Master to everyone still living within it's boarders. There is hardly much they can do so stop us now. Our next move will commence as planned, seeing as everyone finishes their current assignments in agreeable terms. Things are nearly in place.

She's absolutely right. If you aren't careful, well then you deserve what's coming to you. But be careful, we've chosen this specific time and place for a reason, and if you all can't survive this... well then you don't deserve to consider yourselves deserving of His graces.

As a measure of good faith, the Dark Lord is willing to allow you a certain amount of time to seek out your revenge. Be swift and silent about it, for who knows then our Lord will grow tired of it. Weasley's death would surely hurt our enemies and blind them to other things.

Another successful completion of that ridiculious holiday. I am more than capable of deciding when and where I choose to show my affections for my wife. She very well knows it too, though I do attend to the duties expected of me on this most reidiculious of holidays, simply because she expects it and has grown used to it after all these years.
The only way I've been able to counter the 14th of February is to make other days more memerable than that one, so that she'll look forward to something we've set together, and not some foolish day choosen to celebrate a muggle.
